We are Buffalo was a three-man all acoustic band comprised of Michael Horwitz, Richard Brooker and David Kane. Formed several years ago, they played in numerous venues throughout the tri-state area. They have one album to their credit, Between Now and Then. It is available on all major outlets e.g., iTunes, Amazon music, CD baby to name a few.

A write up included these comments:  “Michael Horwitz is a singer/songwriter/composer with a range that crosses many styles and borders. Richard Brooker brings a fresh blend of acoustic guitar and mandolin musicality to the new century’s world audience. He has the uncanny ability to lead audiences down musical rabbit holes that leave the listener breathlessly saying, YES! David Kane is a highly trained percussionist extraordinaire who brings a megawatt persona to any performance.”

They have disbanded and gone their separate musical ways. Below are a sampling of their tunes and sound.

The four walls are my master
They hold my inner fate
With time evaporating at a steam like pace
And like a foggy mist you slipped between the bars
And offered me the horizon a ceiling made of stars

You are exciting
Your voice inviting
Your touch delighting
Niagara roar again
Niagara oh roar again.

I was barely breathing
Then I got reborn
I had a vision I saw the coming storm
And like a volcano I burst from dormancy
And shattered the remains of my inner sanctuary

You are exciting
Your voice inviting
Your touch delighting
Niagara roar again
Niagara oh roar again.

Break

Niagara oh roar again
Niagara oh roar again

I was barely breathing
I was barely breathing
I was barely breathing
Thirsty barely breathing
Thirsty barely breathing

Thirsty and delirious
I walked on desert sand
Someone mysterious took me by the hand
Soothed my worried brow
Cooled my weary feet
I am dancing in the street

You are exciting
Your voice inviting
Your touch delighting
Niagara roar again
Niagara 0h roar again.

I have often wondered about you.
I have asked myself a thousand times or more
Where it was that you were going?
And what it was that you were looking for?

Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint
Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint.

Once I stood so tall
You talked me down from the ledge
Then I took a fall
You picked me up from the edge

Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint
Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint.

Time and space may keep us far apart
But no distance lies in the heart

Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint
Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint.

Break

Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint
Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint.

I have often wondered about you.
I have asked myself a thousand times or more
Where it was that you were going?
And what it was that you were looking for?

Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint
Don’t want the rain to wash away your footprint.
